My husband LOVES his Kindle Paperwhite. It has a long battery life, is easy to read during the day or night, and made a great gift for his mom’s birthday a couple of years ago. It’s on sale right now for less than $90 (36% off), so if you’ve been considering a Kindle, now’s the time to shop. One last Kindle benefit – I routinely download tons of books for free on Kindle, so you don’t also have to immediately invest a ton of money in books for your new Kindle.

Amazon Prime Membership

Amazon Prime Members are eligible for Prime Day deals, so if you are not yet a member, this might be your chance to snag a membership at a reduced rate. We love Prime not just for the free shipping on thousands of items but also for the movies and shows (lately the Horrors of Dolores Roach but one favorite is The Boys), photo storage, and Kindle Reads (one free Kindle book monthly).

Audible

If you’ve been tempted to Try Audible Plus for audiobooks and podcasts, this is a good time to start the free trial. Use your monthly credits to choose an audiobook from Audible’s giant library. And the best part is if you ever cancel your membership, you still own the books and can listen to them at any time – even if you cancel after your free trial has ended.
